Welcome to the Web edition of
The Alternative Health Guides to Complementary
& Alternative Health Services
The Guide to Alternative & Complementary Health Services has been printed in the Upper Valley for 12
years. Now, in addition to the print version, available for free at area Coops,
Hospitals, Practitioners offices, and other locations, the Guide is available
here on the internet.
The WEB version has added features:
It is exciting to have so many practitioners and businesses working with
natural, wholistic therapies and approaches to health care.
While it might be easy to become overwhelmed by all the different categories and
techniques of treatment included, please bear in mind that they all have common
threads, which include: working with the body, mind and spirit as a whole
being; viewing the whole as an energetic being and doing work that harmonizes
and balances that energy; and emphasizing the use of natural, non-invasive
therapies.
The goal of these guides is to be comprehensive—including as many practitioners and businesses as possible—so it is a useful tool for those searching out complementary and alternative health care. It is a joy to compile this guide and learn more about all the work
being done. However, it must be clear that no endorsement of therapies,
practitioners, products or businesses is intended or implied by inclusion in
this guide. No unethical or misleading listings or ads have been knowingly
included. Definitions of services and information links are for educational
purposes only.
To your health and well-being.
