APITHERAPY
Apitherapy involves the use of bee stings, pollen, propolis and royal jelly to treat such diseases as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis and others. It is a therapy you practice on yourself or with the help of a friend (who’s not afraid of or allergic to bees). Information is available on-line at the American Apitherapy Society—www.apitherapy,org. If you’re not ready to set up a hive of your own, you can usually find a local beekeeper who is willing to supply you with bees for a fee, which varies depending upon the beekeeper. Bees in a jar usually last about one week to ten days. If after you try it you feel it’s effective, it makes sense to invest in a hive of your own.
