Bodywork is a broad term covering many different techniques of physical touch
and manipulation. Sometimes traditional massage is used in conjunction with one
or more of these techniques.
BODYWORK - Biodynamic Alignment Therapy
Biodynamic Alignment Therapy is a personalized health and balance treatment
based on traditional osteopathic philosophies and techniques. It embraces the
osteopathic philosophy that the body has a natural ability to self-regulate and
heal itself. To empower this ability, the body must have an unrestricted
circulation of fluids including the blood, lymph and digestive juices. The
focus of Biodynamic Alignment Therapy is the identification and treatment of
physical and/or emotional obstructions that impede the circulation of fluids.

BODYWORK - CranioSacral
CranioSacral therapy involves gentle, subtle hands-on work to balance the system
of membranes connecting the cranium and sacrum bones and the cerebrospinal
fluid which bathes the brain and spinal cord. Imbalances in this area can
effect the central nervous system. There are different schools of this therapy—the Fluid Model Sutherland Sills Craniosacral Therapy, Osteopathic Craniosacral
Therapy, and Upledger CranioSacral Therapy. The Fluid Model and Osteopathic
Therapies are similar, but only doctors can practice Osteopathic Craniosacral
Therapy.
