Mindfulness is being aware and awake to the present moment. In practicing mindfulness, over time, the mind calms down and a sense of inner peace arises. The main activities at the meetings are sitting meditation, mindful walking, deep listening, and mindful speech. Founded in the tradition of Vietnamese Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh, the MPC is non-sectarian and open to everyone. Tuesdays 9:00–10:00 am meditation, 10:15–11:30 am discussion. Occassional Days of Mindfulness. All sessions are free; donations are welcome. See Stress Reduction.
