Mindfulness is being aware and awake to the present moment. In practicing
mindfulness, over time, the mind calms down and a sense of inner peace arises.
The main activities at the meetings are sitting meditation, mindful walking,
deep listening, and mindful speech. Founded in the tradition of Vietnamese Zen
master, Thich Nhat Hanh, the MPC is non-sectarian and open to everyone.
Tuesdays 9:00-10:00 a.m. meditation, 10:15-11:30 a.m. discussion. Occassional
Days of Mindfulness. All sessions are free; donations are welcome. See Meditation.
TAROT
Tarot is a set of cards originating in Renaissance Italy, which incorporates
images and elements from ancient wisdom traditions. The seeker chooses a number
of cards to be interpreted by a reader. Tarot is a powerful tool for connecting
with one’s own inner voice, and for gaining insight on the past, present and future.
